24-hour professional nursing staff providing in-house emergency response and individualized assistance on a daily basis

Supported by a full fiber optic backbone, the entire Lord Lansdowne facility is wired for secure high speed data access throughout. High Speed Internet Access is available in all suites, as well as in common areas throughout the facility.

Several systems leverage the capacity of the network in order to offer residents the highest levels of security and comfort. Complete with a full service back-up generator we are confident that we can offer our residents an uninterrupted experience in the event of power failure.

TheeMeds Network allows our nursing staff real-time access to the resident's full and current medication profile, coupled with the resident image and description to ensure that the right resident is receiving the right dose, at the right time, by the right method, with the right amount of inventory on hand, allowing us to offer our residents the highest levels of care.

The Nurse Alert network covers every floor and common space of the entire facility, and has help only a press of a button away. Wireless receivers allow our nursing staff to precisely locate residents in distress in less than a second from the time of alert. Resident pendants, along with strategically located alert stations throughout the facility will allow the residents a safe and secure environment throughout, and will alert staff in the event of wandering in inclement weather.

In addition to the 72 channels of TV access, the HD LCD flat panels in all of our rooms offer residents options to benefit from our Tranquil TV viewing, with the calming effects of the sights and sounds of a saltwater aquarium broadcast to each room. InRoom Theatre offers residents scheduled movie broadcasts, along with access to an in-house Events & Activities Channel to keep all of our residents in tune with the vast array of events, excursions and activities!

Our very own Mayfair Theatre features a 12' screen, Rogers HD television programming for broadcasting major sporting events, Blu-Ray high definition disc player, DVD video player, full surround sound, along with a premium Sennheiser Direct to Ear IR headphone based audio system - a state-of-the-art wireless system that allows users to adjust their individual volume level for a more natural listening experience for those with or without hearing loss.

All rooms feature a secured and authenticated Electronic In-room Safe, with an American Disabilities Act approved keypad, along with a magnetic stripe reader to avoid having to remember passcodes.

Security throughout the facility is a top priority in order to allow our residents free access throughout. All suites have access to a Lobby Watch Broadcast to allow residents to see the entrance of the building. The voice and video Virtual Entry Attendant features an onboard camera and intercom system to allow visitors and security staff to communicate with visitors. All suites feature Keyless Entry for residents, and authentication for any staff that may have access. Further, all staff in the facility require Biometric Authentication prior to beginning their shift.
